Photographer, writer, and do-gooder Janelle Vadnais has unveiled a not-so-secret identity as the “Captor of Images” and is using her talents to help the heroic women of Dress for Success Triangle NC.
Vadnais is a Brooklyn-born, Long-Island-bred transplant to Raleigh whose athletic prowess and Google-fu are legendary, but it’s her ability to wield a camera (on display at http://janellevadnais.tumblr.com/) that will be called into service this month.
She has joined forces with Dress for Success Triangle NC, which assists low-income women in their quest for economic independence by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career-development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
Vadnais will be photographing these wonder women as they suit up and head out into their new roles, providing compelling images that will assist Dress for Success Triangle NC as it promotes its services throughout the Triangle.
Director of Programs and Operations Megan Risley commented, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Janelle. With Janelle’s expertise, we’ll be able to share the stories of the many inspirational women we work with to inspire other women and men in the community to support Dress for Success.”
Vadnais herself humbly noted, “When I can, I try to make a difference in the lives of others. Every little bit counts, right?”
Right, Captor of Images! And thanks for being a Pro Hero who does more than just a little to serve her community.
