Join us for a few minutes or the entire day as we work in the greenhouse, created garden beds and plant seedlings.
This is our first growing season so with your help we will transform the dirt into a beautiful garden.
May 27, 2017 10am - 3pm
The beautiful weather is finally arriving and it's time to enjoy some planting in the garden.
Wildwoods Community Farm is a gathering place for connecting to the land, fostering friendships with neighbors, and a source for natural, fresh food. Located on 4 acres in Chapel Hill, NC the space is a community farm, botanical garden, and animal sanctuary with opportunities to live and work on the farm during the growing season in farm apprentice programs. The farm also offers in-depth learning through internships, farm classes, wwoofing and more!
Kids of all ages are welcome to participate! For the younger ones, we will be working in the gardens, harvesting veggies, and preparing for the spring crop.
Please note that we are a newer farm so we are still in the process of transforming the land from dirt and trees to beautiful gardens, ponds, and structures. We have lots of work for everyone, regardless of your interest! Most of the work is outdoor work so please come in clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty.
If you have some build skills you can also join our build team making structures like chicken coops, garden tables, benches and a tool shed.
Light snacks provided. Supervised kids welcome!
