Spend Earth Day April 22, 2017 helping TLC celebrate the opening of our 7th public nature preserve, The George and Julia Brumley Family Nature Preserve!
Brumley Forest is located in western Orange County, approximately 2 miles southeast of Hillsborough and just a few miles from downtown Durham and Chapel Hill. We need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks throughout the day, including set-up, parking, hike leaders and sweepers (end of the group), assisting with children's activities, mountain bike training, clean-up, and more!
Depending on skills and interests, volunteers can sign up to help out with specific activities or be available to help generally. Volunteer shifts generally last for 1-2 hours, from 8:00am until 5:00pm.
Our Grand Opening Celebration will happen rain or shine! However, weather conditions will dictate whether some activities (such as mountain biking) will take place.
