Military Racquetball Federation (MRF) is teaming up w/ Home Depot to present rehabilitation outdoor racquetball to Disabled Veterans and Wounded Warriors. MRF is using racquetball as a therapeutic method to treat PSTD symptoms, anger management and low-esteem for service members returning home.
This opportunity has passed.
Military Racquetball Federation (MRF) is teaming up with the city of Washington, DC and The Home Depot Foundation (THDF) at The Yards in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood to present an outdoor racquetball rehabilitation demonstration for Disabled Veterans and Wounded Warriors in the heartbeat of DC. This event is taking place July 27th – 30th, 2017 and will be open to the public to promote the sport of racquetball and is being used a new method of rehabilitation therapy for Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans who experience PTSD, anger management issues, substance abuse and confinement to a wheelchair because of their duty to combat.
MRF TRULY needs your volunteer help for only one day (Saturday morning July 22nd) for no more than 2 hours to help us load two portable racquetball courts into Penske rental trucks. These courts must be loaded and transported to Washington DC to where we will have four different non-profit volunteer groups waiting to receive and build these courts. Without these courts in DC, we can not host this major event. WE NEED YOUR HELP here in Garner NC to make this event possible. I (personally) have worked with the local Smithfield Chicken & Bar-B-Que who will donate food to feed the volunteers who help with this event.
PLEASE HELP US MAKE THIS EVENT POSSIBLE for over 200 Wounded Warriors waiting for this event to happen.
None - these courts have to get loaded into two rental trucks for Saturday to meet our critical deadline to have them transported and built in Washington DC
Parking is not an issue. The storage unit has plenty of parking... The address is
