RESCHEDULED TO TUESDAY, September 19, 2017 at 6 PM at NEW VENUE, the Raleigh Convention Center (Exhibit Hall A). Join fellow citizens for Service Projects and a Commemoration as part of the 9/11 Day of Service.
This opportunity has passed.
Enjoy live music, participate in hands-on service projects, bring non-perishable items for an on-site food drive, and hear words from local community leaders and Activate Good as we conclude this community-wide day of service.
Attending participants will have a choice of which service project to participate in based on 4-6 "service project stations" we'll have laid out throughout the amphitheater. All projects at these service project stations will be hands-on and kid-friendly. Participants will be free to move from station to station if they choose. As service project stations have limited seating and will be first-come, first-serve, we recommend groups who wish to stay together arrive a little early.
Please try to bring donated food items to "Fill the Truck" for Urban Ministries of Wake County at the evening commemoration: Canned beans, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, and rice are among top needs.
This event is rain or shine.
Street parking and parking in downtown Raleigh decks is available. Check out http://www.godowntownraleigh.com/get-around/parking for parking options.
