Summary: The Americorp VISTA Fundraising and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Benevolence staff, board and volunteers to generate sufficient funds for the organization to flourish and continue carrying out our mission. This will be achieved by expanding current fundraising efforts to include a diverse array of revenue generation in order to support current and future programs and building strong relationships with current and prospective donors. This position will help accomplish fundraising strategies and goals through researching and compiling grant applications; assisting with donor management & communication; and coordinating fundraising events. Fundraising efforts and outreach will be supported through effective and current communication and documentation of our work via our various mediums such as social media, website, newsletters, etc. Additionally this position will include regular documentation of the progress of programming and events using photo and video.

Essential Duties
● Manage donor database in Charity Proud to track grants, major gifts, and member donations;
● Coordinate donor acknowledgement and support ED in building relationships
● Collaborate with ED to identify and recruit corporate sponsors
● Collaborate with ED, Resource Development committees on fundraising and enlisting sponsorships for program and event support
● Research, identify, develop and respond to public and private grant opportunities
● Generate content and supporting documents for grant proposals
● Maintain and implement funding calendar activities, including cultivation activities
● Assist ED in completing reports to government, corporate, foundation, and other funders
● Organize solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations
● Provide timely, written monthly progress reports/quarterly/yearly reports to ED in accordance with Board of Directors/program funding requirements
● Collaborate with the Resource Development committees to develop, plan and promote events
● Continue to develop fundraising strategies and materials to support Benevolence operations;
● Develop and maintain current all Benevolence communication mediums including social media, website, newsletters
● Participate in and support program events, fundraising, and advocacy events
Qualifications
● Passion for Benevolence Farm’s mission
● Dedication to working as a member of and in partnership with diverse communities
● Relevant experience with non-profit fundraising
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong organizational and self-management skills, including excellent follow-through
● High proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, donor database management programs
● Highly organized and attentive to detail with ability to manage multiple projects effectively
● Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals
● Commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation
● Special event planning experience preferred
● Proficiency in website maintenance and social media platforms such as twitter, facebook, instagram
