ATTENTION: We have filled our slots for our 2nd session of Readers as Leaders! The session runs Feb/March to June 2016. In the meantime, contact elaine@dpfc.net for other volunteer opportunities DPFC has to offer.
The Durham branch Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina is seeking volunteers to help keep our warehouse clean! Duties will include sweeping, mopping and dusting. This would be a weekly volunteer shift, but it is very flexible.
All cat lovers are welcome! This is a great opportunity to get to spend an hour or so with cats and kittens. Our cleaners are essential to keeping the cat display area at PetSmart neat and clean so that potential adopters fall in love with our felines on display.
Purr Partners hosts adoption events at PetSmart, Raleigh twice a month and need volunteers to help us with the kitties. Looking for positive, friendly people to sit with the cats and interact with the public. Join us in saving lives and having lots of fun!
Assist Families Moving Forward staff with Triangle Food Truck deliveries made to the agency.
Be an Everyday Hero! Greet donors and provide a snack and beverage after donation. Each blood donation saves up to 3 lives!
The Arc of the Triangle advocates and provides purposeful activities for individuals with I/DD (intellectual and developmental disabilities.) We are currently looking for volunteers with our Community Connections Partner Program - make a difference, make a friend.
The Arc of the Triangle has two garden beds at the HOPE Community Gardens where we grow food for our cooking class and flowers for our Petals with a Purpose program.
Petals with a Purpose is a weekly program with people with and without disabilities. The program uses items destined for the landfill like soup cans, water and glass bottles and they are turned into flower vases.
Use your skills and talents to assist the production team with donations.
