Custom Service Projects & Events

Custom Event Planning and Support Services for Companies and Groups Doing Good in the Triangle

Let us plan your next corporate volunteer service project or event!

Activate Good can provide a custom, turn-key volunteer experience you’ll remember! As your custom volunteer event planner, we offer project options you can do at your office or venue of choice as well as special projects at a community partner’s  location to impact a cause at its heart.

The general process for any custom corporate volunteer project or event is easy!

  1. Submit a Request for Proposal to let Activate Good know you’re interested in partnering with us (check out our Corporate FAQs for tips about submitting an RFP).
  2. Activate Good may schedule a call to discuss your RFP or ask questions, as needed.
  3. Activate Good will prepare a proposal for your consideration. Proposals include suggested projects that fit your interests and outline costs involved in executing the project.
  4. You review the proposal and let Activate Good know of any questions or requested revisions.
  5. Like the proposal? Great! We then prepare a partnership agreement.

Management or Support Fees are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to:

  • length of engagement
  • number of volunteers
  • preparation time
  • special requests and/or project complexity
  • required transportation, storage, or travel
  • …and more.

Often, volunteer projects require supplies, and that budget is based on your chosen project. For more information about project and fee types, and other policies and helpful info, please review our Corporate FAQs.

Do you need a portable project at your office for a small team (est. 30-50 volunteers or less)? Have a limited budget, or want added scheduling flexibility and/or team-building?

Just complete this RFP and ask us about At Will Portable Projects! The service fee is nominal and used to cover staff time for our pre-project prep only. This format also allows the option to scale a supply budget to a certain goal rather than to fill a window of time. While we don’t provide volunteer management for this option, we still handle all the preliminary preparation so a fully prepared portable project is delivered to your door!

Genworth Financial

Genworth, volunteer, corporate social responsibility, raleigh

To kick of Genworth’s 2017 Month of Service, 55 volunteers dropped by in between meetings and phone calls, on their way to lunch, and whenever they had a free moment to paint. These volunteers created 15 beautiful, unique paintings  which were donated to Art for Hospice. Art for Hospice provides artwork to patients at over a dozen Hospice centers, VA hospitals, and nursing homes.

“Beyond the cheerful smiles, encouragement, and enthusiasm the Activate Good team brought to our event, they also covered the logistics to the point where I felt I didn’t even need to be there to oversee the event (though I would never have missed out on the fun).”

-Amy Rein, Internal Communications Leader — U.S. Mortgage Insurance, Genworth Financial

Chiesi USA

Chiesi USA, volunteering, corporate social responsibility, cary, north carolinaChiesi USA volunteers helped welcome students back to school by giving just 90 minutes of their time to build 550 school supply kits. These kits were filled with notebooks, paints, markers, earbuds, index cards, and more items to help set students up for success. Kits were then distributed to Bugg Elementary where over 75% of students receive free or reduced price lunch.

“Our volunteer event increased our involvement and awareness in the community because Activate Good provided a facebook live video of our efforts. They were able to capture the real authentic reaction from the teachers and staff at the local school when they were gifted back to school items.”

Cisco, volunteering, corporate social responsibility, durham170 Cisco employees worked together to assemble 1400 weekend meal kits, complete with personalized notes, for students in need at Poe Elementary in Raleigh. “My team is small (relative to recent Cisco events) but mighty!  I have heard NOTHING but great feedback for last week’s event.  I had people in San Jose who were not even involved in our larger event tell me they heard great things about what we did!  All of that was possible because of you and your team!”

Merz North America

Merz, volunteer, corporate social responsibility, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina

49 Volunteers from MERZ R&D spent their day of service at Haven House Services. These hardworking volunteers help to beautify the building inside and out by painting a “peace” mural, weeding and mulching the flower beds, cleaning spaces inside and out, creating a peaceful meditation room, and making healthy snack kits for teens in crisis.

“Activate Good was extremely reliable, affordable and very well organized to keep all 49 of our volunteers busy for over two hours on a very hot and humid day. We worked inside and outside and were very pleased to leave the venue a much cleaner, fresher, and more welcoming place to go!”
