Special events are days of service and special initiatives hosted by Activate Good that involve numerous opportunities for volunteerism.
National Volunteer Week (April 15-21, 2018) is an annual nationwide initiative. Activate Good aims to engage individual Triangle volunteers of all ages and volunteer groups to make a difference and new connections for local nonprofits. **IMPORTANT: Projects listed in this event are hosted and lead by their respective nonprofits. Unless specifically noted, Activate Good may not be on-site for a project.
Activate Good's annual Teen Days of Service is our local movement to engage and inspire teens with volunteerism, and recognize their ability to do good for their communities as part of Global Youth Service Day. Thanks to Youth Service America & the Mott Foundation for their support of Activate Good as a 2018 Lead Agency!
The 9/11 Day of Service is a community-wide volunteer event coordinated by Activate Good with support from Triangle businesses to honor those lost on 9/11 with volunteer service. The Day includes service projects around the Triangle, and an evening Commemoration event full of family-friendly, hands-on projects benefiting local causes. Check back this summer for opportunities to serve!
