Details

The Court Monitor Program works towards the elimination of drunk driving by observing court and collecting information on drunk driving cases. As one of MADD’s core programs, the Court Monitoring program trains volunteers to observe the court system and collect information. This information is used to recommend constructive improvements to our judicial system.

This volunteer opportunity is for the entire state of North Carolina.

Tasks/Responsibilities:
•Successfully complete Court Monitor training and attend supplemental training as scheduled.
•Attend DWI misdemeanor court cases as schedule permits.
•Become familiar with court room procedures.
•Collect information on DWI misdemeanor and felony cases and submit paperwork to the Court Monitor Program Coordinator or other MADD staff in a timely manner.
•Other duties as assigned.
