Want to share your love of the outdoors with others? Are you interested in nature, education, or the environment? Then become an Education and Outreach Volunteer with the Triangle Land Conservancy this April and May!
This opportunity has passed.
Volunteers are needed to assist TLC with a variety of hands-on, outdoor environmental education programs throughout the Triangle. We depend on volunteer help to provide groups with high-quality, engaging, and safe programs on our nature preserves. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who would like to work directly with children or get experience with environmental education!
Volunteers will provide general assistance with the programs, including:
- Setting up activities
- Passing out and collecting supplies
- Working one-on-one with children that need assistance
- Running small group activities
The only qualification needed is your desire to share your passion for nature and the outdoors with others! Potential volunteers will meet with TLC staff and familiarize themselves with the guidelines in our volunteer handbook before their first program. All education volunteers will need to complete a background check, either with TLC or the partner organization we will be working with.
Program locations and content vary, so let me know if you're interested in volunteering and I can send you more detailed information!
Parking will vary depending on program location.
