This activity is part of the 9/11 Day of Service. Volunteers will model positive, supportive behaviors and friendship for up to 86 of our community's special kids at one of the most critical learning stages in their lives.
This opportunity has passed.
This service project is all about our future -- the kids! Learning Together needs you to show preschool-aged kids what being a loving, supportive adult friend looks like. At Learning Together, classrooms are inclusive, meaning they help children of all different abilities, income levels, and perspectives get ready for kindergarten. Beyond that, their hope is that they also grow up to be the best people they can be. Please join Learning Together as Classroom Buddies and share a day in the life of our children: Sit in circle time, play on the playground, see what inclusion actually looks like, and make wonderful new friends you won't forget!
Project will continue rain or shine. In the event of rain, some outdoor tasks will change or be moved.
Please park off Wynne St. in the lot behind the building. Overflow parking is available in the Chavis Park lot directly across the street on Chavis Way.
