This activity is part of the 9/11 Day of Service. We will be working on 200 linear feet of a forested rain garden. We will also plant 2 large dog wood trees. We will plant 10-20 native grass clumps along the side slopes.
This opportunity has passed.
Volunteers will be stabilizing the side slopes of a large rain garden at Umstead State Park, rock-lining the side slopes and installing an innovative side slope holder to help keep the rocks. They'll also help with planting native mthly grass & trees and weeding in butterfly gardens. Lunch will be served at 12:30!
All volunteers must complete this waiverprior to the project and bring the completed document with them: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7s0GapGTzRAVmswWkQ3d293b19pRXdvYWJwTF9sVEJSVFI4/view
