What You'll Do:

Volunteers help children staying in our shelter with homework and reading assistance on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Volunteers are also needed for child care for the younger children.

Volunteers help children in the shelter with their homework, but more importantly serve as a positive role model to a child in need. Monday Wednesday & Thursday, from 6:30pm-8:15pm.

On Mondays and Thursdays, volunteers work with children on their homework and reading skills- while their mothers are taking special skills classes. On Wednesdays, volunteers assist in Tutoring with the mothers or our Family Fun Nights where we have interactive and educational games the entire family can enjoy.

Volunteers are also needed to play with the children not yet school aged in our play rooms each evening (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Since volunteers are working with children, they must be 18 or older and fill out an application and background check before volunteering with us. We ask volunteers to serve a minimum of two nights a month.
