Leaders will also help set up and break down the Commemoration project stations.

ABOUT THE EVENING COMMEMORATION:

Enjoy live music, participate in hands-on service projects, bring non-perishable items for an on-site food drive, and hear words from local community leaders and Activate Good as we conclude this community-wide day of service. Volunteers will also enjoy free refreshments.

Attending participants will have a choice of which service project to participate in many "service project stations" we'll have laid out throughout the Museum. All projects at these service project stations will be hands-on and kid-friendly. Participants will be free to move from station to station if they choose. As service project stations have limited seating and will be first-come, first-serve, we recommend groups who wish to stay together arrive a little early.

Please try to bring donated food items to "Fill the Truck" for Urban Ministries of Wake County at the evening commemoration: Canned beans, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, and rice are among top needs.
