What You'll Do:

In JA Career Speakers Series, a volunteer guest speaker visits the classroom and shares information about his or her career, work, and education experience.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

Details:

The JA Career Speakers Series (part of the JA Work & Career Readiness Pathway) provides a JA volunteer guest speaker to visit classrooms and share information about his or her career, work and education experience. JA provides structured teacher and volunteer guides as well as student handouts. The guides include optional pre and post speaker sessions optional teacher lead sessions. Four versions grades K–2, grades 3–5, grades 6–8, and grades 9–12.

Student objectives will vary based on grade level. Students will identify skills and interests, recognize career clusters and practice active listening skills.

Even though there are times listed in scheduling, times will vary depending on educator request.
