Juneteenth: Help Behind the Scenes at Morrisville's Celebration

What You'll Do:

Volunteer behind the scenes on Juneteenth as we celebrate the emancipation and the achievements of Morrisville's African-American community through speakers, proclamations, food, fun activities, music, vendors, entertainment and more.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

Additional Requirements:

Please dress comfortably and wear closed toe shoes. Please bring water.

Details:

Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the freedom of the slaves in the United States. The name Juneteenth is a combination of the words June and nineteenth. The day is also called Emancipation Day and Freedom Day.

Volunteers are needed to help with the Town of Morrisville with a variety of tasks behind the scenes of this event. Volunteers will help with set up and breakdown of the event, crafts, sports, vendor support and more!

Check in at the Parks Recreation & Cultural Resources tent on the field, and ask for Christy Famolare, the Event Coordinator.

Impact Statement:

Rain Plan:

In the event of light rain this project will continue. If there are heavy storms, we will cancel and alert you via email that morning.

There is ample parking at the Center.
