Details:

Brain tumors are the deadliest form of childhood cancer. At the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, we are working to find a cure for this terrible disease, while supporting families throughout their journey. The NC Triangle Starry Night Walk to Cure Childhood Brain Tumors is an annual event that benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, and offers families the opportunity to gather and support each other. The 2021 walk will take place on October 2 at the Durham Bulls Baseball Stadium. The social media coordinator will manage the event's Facebook page with up to date content and material to help promote the event to increase fundraising and registration. The time commitment will be 2-3 hours per week including biweekly committee meetings. Graphic design or Canva experience is great but not required.

Impact Statement:

Support of the Starry Night Walk is critical to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation mission. Dollars raised through the walk allow the foundation to fund life-saving research and critical family support programming for families in the Triangle.
