The following volunteer opportunities have been listed as appropriate for court-ordered community service.
Volunteers will learn FDA and USDA standards of egg inspection. Volunteers will be trained on how to properly clean, examine, and prepare for egg distribution for our food hunger initiatives. Point of contact – Mynikah Stokes- 919.373.5895
Help us recover food from our routes! Accompany a Food Shuttle driver on a truck route to recover food. This food will then get distributed to several community partner agencies.
Come be a part of our team! Our reuse center welcomes all people interested in joining our community and volunteering at the resuse center.

We are seeking individuals, churches, organizations, social groups, and employers to host a hygiene drive to collect hygiene products to increase our hygiene inventory so we can continue to provide hygiene kits to more Wake County youths.
Do you like puppies? We have the job for you. A puppy needs proper, appropriate and regular socialization in order to grown into a well-adjusted adult dog. Come and spend a few hours with our pups and help them get ready for their forever home.
Cut, split and deliver donated firewood to low-income residents of Wake County.
There is need for a volunteer with access to a truck to pick up items from the Raleigh/Cary area and deliver to Durham.
Open Table Ministry operates a "Free Store" twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and we need volunteers to help us staff it!
Volunteers are needed for our thrift store. Great opportunity for all ages - students, stay home parents and retirees. Use your time and talent helping us process donations at our thrift store.
