The following volunteer opportunities have been listed as appropriate for court-ordered community service.
Blackdog Club has several ongoing projects at the rescue and we could use volunteers. If you love all animals, you will love helping here on the farm. You must be okay working around dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, etc.

Ever wondered how nature trails are created? Here’s your chance to help build trails on a nature preserve owned by Tar River Land Conservancy. All volunteers are welcomed. We provide the tools, training, and supervision. Sign up for one or more work days during March 2021.
Grab a group of friends or coworkers and provide a hearty meal for families staying at SECU Family House while they receive lifesaving treatment at UNC Hospitals.
Free Food Friday volunteers serve from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Tasks include assisting with setup, giving out food and answering client questions, restocking the food, and cleanup. Small groups of 3 or 4 are welcome to sign up as well as individuals.
Overflowing Hands and Rocky Top Catering partnered together to distribute nutritious meals to kids & families when COVID-19 started. Volunteers distribute food on truck routes to 50+ sites in Wake County. After distributing more than 650,000 meals, your support is still needed to help feed kids!
