Community HOPE is a mentor/literacy program with the Alexander Family YMCA. Community HOPE isn't just a tutoring program. It's a relationship – a bond between mentor and child. Please take a moment to view one mentor's journey:
Responsible for website maintenance and social media activities.
Volunteers 12 years and older will assist with seeding, planting, cultivating and harvesting. 20 volunteers per session depending if the crops are ready to be harvested. *24 hour reservations required. Online consent form will be sent upon confirmation volunteer date.

Circle of Parents Children's Support Group needs volunteers on Tuesday evenings to work with homeless children at the Salvation Army of Wake County.
Are you passionate about sexual health? Do you have skills to share? Consider getting involved with ASHA. Our volunteer program runs in tandem with our Ambassador program – it allows you to be as involved as you want to be and connects you with our global network of supporters.
Volunteers will dismantle electronic devices for eco recycling. The ability to use small tools, remove batteries and be able to lift up to 10 pounds is required.
The community benefits greatly from The Family Store (Monday-Saturday, 9:00AM-5:00PM). Donations are sold at a very low price, allowing families who may not be able to shop elsewhere to purchase affordable, good quality clothing.
