Group Volunteer Opportunities

The following volunteer opportunities have been listed as appropriate for groups of volunteers who want to work together.
Courage Cards are something you can do by yourself or with a group. Materials needed can be simple (paper/crayons) or more elaborate (card stock/stickers/stamps/etc.) depending on what you'd like to do. All cards will be going to kids that are inpatient at Duke and UNC Children's Hospitals.
Volunteers will learn FDA and USDA standards of egg inspection. Volunteers will be trained on how to properly clean, examine, and prepare for egg distribution for our food hunger initiatives. Point of contact – Mynikah Stokes- 919.373.5895
Volunteers 12 years and older will assist with seeding, planting, cultivating and harvesting.
Volunteers 16 years and older will sort and process jewelry that is placed for sale within our Employment Program Centers to fund our missions. *24 hour reservations required. *Online consent form will be sent upon confirmation date.

Dependable individual to assist in moving a small nonprofit organization to its next level in assisting youth and young adults aging out of the NC foster care system.
Groups of up to 10 people can volunteer to provide a meal for the families of RMH-Chapel Hill. Providing a meal is a wonderful way to connect with families while caring for one of their most basic needs.
BUMP: The Triangle, a nonprofit music education organization mentoring youth through music of the African Diaspora, is seeking a volunteer to assist with grant writing and research.
This group opportunity supports food insecure older adults by delivering grocery bags, including fresh produce, to a low-income housing complex. The activity takes place every 3rd Thursday (occasional exceptions), 11AM to 1PM.
Petals with a Purpose is a weekly program with people with and without disabilities. The program uses items destined for the landfill like soup cans, water and glass bottles and they are turned into flower vases.
