The Arc of the Triangle advocates and provides purposeful activities for individuals with I/DD (intellectual and developmental disabilities.) We are currently looking for volunteers with our Community Connections Partner Program - make a difference, make a friend.
Petals with a Purpose is a weekly program with people with and without disabilities. The program uses items destined for the landfill like soup cans, water and glass bottles and they are turned into flower vases.
The Arc of the Triangle has two garden beds at the HOPE Community Gardens where we grow food for our cooking class and flowers for our Petals with a Purpose program.
We brighten lives of children in hospitals and libraries in the NC Triangle by creating and installing whimsical, displays. We are in seven locations and create 1/4 millions smiles each year. Our annual spending budget is $4,000. We have no corporate sponsors and thus we need fundraising help.
Foster cats and/or kittens in your home until adoption. We pull from high kill shelters and they go directly into either quarantine with a foster or directly to a permanent foster. If you love cats, this can be one of the most rewarding things you'll ever do.
