Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve is dedicated to protecting the fragile habitat in and around the preserve. We invite you to help us keep our trails safe and comfortable for our visitors. You must call the Stevens Nature Center to confirm your spot at 919-387-5980.
Volunteers 12 years and older will assist with seeding, planting, cultivating and harvesting. *24 hour reservations required. Online consent form will be sent upon confirmation volunteer date. Summer and Winter hours vary.
We have long-term needs for help with cleaning tack, feeding and grooming our horses, maintaining the grounds, repairing any broken items, etc.,
Come out to enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning on the farm and meet others in our community! We'll have water, gloves and tools; just bring a refillable water bottle, snacks, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and be ready to work!

Sparks In Progress 'S.I.P' is part of a newly designed Teen Choice Program with 4-H Youth Development, providing additional resources and projects for teens to become involved in the community at various levels through out Middle and High School.
