Meet Mo Seyam

“I’m a Shao-Lin Kung Fu instructor and practitioner. In the past 2 years, I have learned more about the importance of community and taking care of members of said community.” Mo Seyam (He/Him/His) contributed the following story.

Protecting our Vulnerable

As a Shao-Lin Kung Fu practitioner, I’ve learned that it’s important to protect the most vulnerable members of our societies, which includes animals. I regularly set up fundraisers through my Kung Fu school to support animal sanctuaries.

Starting a Kung Fu school in my area has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’ve seen students overcome adversity, students working together for a common goal, and I’ve seen so many smiles and laughter.

No matter what you do in life, you should laugh and have fun at any opportunity you can! It makes life more enjoyable!

Solidarity Through Service

Solidarity Through Service is an impact campaign designed to bring people together across faiths and cultures through volunteer service. The campaign is in partnership with International Focus in recognition of “International Human Solidarity Day” declared by the United Nations General Assembly as December 20th.

Activate Good believes that acts of service are a vehicle for increasing empathy and understanding for people across differences. When we serve together, we are all helpers, united in solidarity by purpose – despite any differences in race, nationality, faith, or other factors.
