Activate Good is a nonprofit organization that aims to inspire everyday people to take volunteer action to address issues and help causes around the Triangle area! We’ve just announced our efforts to launch The Good Hub, an inclusive community learning and volunteer action center to be located in Raleigh, NC within the next 1-2 years. To raise awareness about the vision for The Good Hub, we’re hosting The Good Hub POP UP in a temporary location — 702 Oberlin Road, Suite 400 in Raleigh — in March and April 2020! In The Good Hub POP UP, we’ll showcase a few of the core features and programs of the future Good Hub — learning stations, service projects, and a volunteer and community connection “lounge”.
We need YOUR help to make The Good Hub POP UP a success! Volunteer to help us operate the POP UP space (702 Oberlin Road, Raleigh) as a tour guide, as a “volunteer connector”, as a project leader, and more! Please note that some roles require training, which will occur on February 22 or 26 (register for your training time here).

Good Hub POP UP Tour Guides
Are you a friendly people-person who loves engaging others to help a good cause? The Tour Guide role could be perfect for you! Tour Guide volunteers will welcome visitors to the POP UP space, guide them through the three sections of the space – Learn, Serve, Connect – and answer guest questions! As a Tour Guide, you’ll receive training and a general script and F.A.Q. to equip you and help orient you to the space, process, and “feel” of The Good Hub POP UP.

Good Hub POP UP Volunteer Connectors
Do you enjoy having one-on-one conversations with other humans and helping them discover possibilities for their talents and the community? Do you feel like you “know” the local area, have a general familiarity with local causes, or have a willingness to learn more about those local causes? A “Volunteer Connector” role could be for you! Volunteer Connectors will sit down with interested visitors to The Good Hub POP UP space in our “lounge” area to ask them questions about their interests and passions with a goal of recommending a volunteer opportunity to them that could fit their personality and needs. Connectors will be equipped with a tablet loaded with a special “match maker quiz” and a list of current volunteer needs to guide them through questions to ask to get at the heart of the visitor’s possible interests. After your discussion, you’ll note any “matches” or “connections” made, and ensure the visitor is able to get started on the volunteer activity that fits them.

Good Hub POP UP Project Leaders
Are you good at “organized chaos”, clearly instructing others in tasks, and managing groups of people of varying sizes? You might be a great fit as a POP UP Project Leader! As a Project Leader, you’ll be assigned to one or more service project zones in the POP UP space and tasked with instructing visitors to the space on how to complete the service project(s) occurring that day. You might also assist with setting up the service projects, and getting them organized at the end of your shift.
