This year, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Activate Good is continuing its tradition of honoring those lost on September 11, 2001 with its annual day of service in a new format: A restorative month of service bringing Triangle residents together to participate in safe in-person or remote volunteer opportunities, virtual learning sessions about local community issues, and a virtual 9/11 evening commemoration. Learn more about each way to get involved below.

Assemble Family Essentials Kits for local families!
There are currently hundreds of local families and individuals who cannot afford basic household and personal care resources. Willing to lend a hand? Do your own supply drive or pick up extra items at the store and assemble Family Essentials Kits at home! Then, drop off completed kits at one of our designed drop off points.
Read Kit assembly instructions, list of kit items, and drop off points here.
Operation Senior Smiles with The Center for Volunteer Caregiving
Bring a smile to the face of an older adult with a disability in Wake County by creating a handmade card with a drawing, positive message, poem – or anything happy! Older adults are scared and isolated during this pandemic. A few minutes of your time will make a huge difference in their day.
See card-making instructions and where to mail completed cards here.
T-Shirt Dog Toys for Adoptable Dogs with Second Chance Pet Adoptions
Upcycle an old t-shirt and create your own toy for dogs at Second Chance Pet Adoptions! Toys help pups reduce anxiety, have fun, and become socialized and more adoptable!
