Meet the Baha’i Character Trait Camp

“As Baha’is, we believe our children are precious souls and the future and promise of Humanity.” Mehri Hezari; Jean Ghofrani; Elham Ghaemmaghami and Ellie Mali contributed the following story.

Living History

Starting during the Pandemic and given the solitude that many children were going through, we started a “Character Trait Camp” on zoom. As restrictions lifted, we pivoted to in-person classes where we get together every other week and teach through prayers, songs, stories, craft, games a character trait (virtue) such as honesty, courage, kindness, justice, and compassion.

We began this initiative because we believe the moral and spiritual education of children is of vital importance.

We welcome others in serving or helping alongside us since it is so rewarding to be part of building a better world.

Solidarity Through Service

Solidarity Through Service is an impact campaign designed to bring people together across faiths and cultures through volunteer service. The campaign is in partnership with International Focus in recognition of “International Human Solidarity Day” declared by the United Nations General Assembly as December 20th.

Activate Good believes that acts of service are a vehicle for increasing empathy and understanding for people across differences. When we serve together, we are all helpers, united in solidarity by purpose – despite any differences in race, nationality, faith, or other factors.
