The following volunteer opportunities have been listed as appropriate for supervised children.
Help us help others! Our monthly adoption event features adoptable dogs of all ages! We need help passing out information, setting up /breaking down the event, baby sitting the adoptable dogs while onlookers ask questions.
Power Hour is a comprehensive homework help and tutoring program
Make a difference in the life of an aging person or someone with a disability by weekly visits, providing transportation to medical facilities and the grocery store, or helping with light chores around the house.
ALLBARC is currently working to expand to help more animals in need. As many of you know, ABARC Acres, our 5.25 acre farm offers us a lot of opportunity; however, in order to get to where we want to be, we need help maintaining the property as it is now.
Do you like puppies? We have the job for you. A puppy needs proper, appropriate and regular socialization in order to grown into a well-adjusted adult dog. Come and spend a few hours with our pups and help them get ready for their forever home.
Note in the Pocket has received over 1700 requests for clothes for local students in need since August!!! We have hundreds of clothing packages going out each week and 1,000's of pounds of donated clothing being processed. Help us show our gratitude to our wonderful volunteers through baked goods!
Need Community Service hours for school, church or fun? Join us at the new Community Educational farm and help transform dirt into beautiful gardens!
Volunteers help bring in the joy of the holiday season to millions across the world. For many people seeing the red kettles and ringers are a true sign that the Christmas season has arrived. Help us raise money for our Christmas programs by ringing at store fronts in the RDU area.
As a Kettle Bell Ringer, you will help The Salvation Army raise funds to keep our essential Social Service programs running!
