Activate Good’s unique volunteer model offers more than volunteering.
In a year of political and community division, National Volunteer Week hopes to bring the Triangle together to put differences aside and help those in need.
For National Volunteer Week, April 21-27, Activate Good, the Triangle’s leader in connecting volunteers with enriching opportunities, will host five “Learn and Serve” volunteer events. These unique opportunities are revolutionizing volunteerism.
With each ‘Learn and Serve,’ individuals complete a meaningful volunteer service for nonprofits and then learn about the systemic issues facing that cause. Every volunteer gains deeper knowledge and is inspired to commit to solving local problems long after the event ends.
“Learn and Serve events go deeper than filling bags with produce or offering other manual labor,” said Marty Viser, BASF Agricultural Solutions’ Community Relations and Communications Manager. “It’s a transformative experience. It’s not just about giving back; it’s about igniting a passion for change, fostering meaningful community connections, and equipping individuals with the tools they need to create lasting impact. Our BASF employees look forward to this week every year.”
