Volunteer during the 9/11 Day of Service

Join us at our 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance Event

Our flagship event at Marsh Creek Community Center brings hundreds of changemakers together for morning and evening shifts to complete hands-on projects that make a real impact for community partners across the Triangle.

New for 2025: We’re launching the Community Partner Volunteer Fair, where nonprofits from around the region will showcase their missions, connect with attendees, and inspire the next wave of changemakers.

This is a powerful and energizing way to volunteer solo or organize your employees to give back, and connect with the broader community.

About the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance

Since 2010, Activate Good has coordinated a Triangle-wide 9/11 Service and Remembrance event. The 9/11 Day of Service is rooted in honoring the memory of those we lost on September 11, 2001. By transforming this day of tragedy into a day of service, we celebrate the resilience of our communities and the strength that arises from unity.

We engage thousands of volunteers to serve the Triangle community through a menu of service projects that benefit a variety of local causes. Projects range from clearing new hiking trails to crafting helpful items for sheltered pets to packaging food for those in need, and much, much more.

Activate Good invites you to participate in this meaningful event. Your involvement is crucial, whether you attend our large-scale event in Raleigh or a community partner’s service project. Together, we can honor the memory of 9/11 by turning a day of tragedy into a day of hope and healing.

That’s amazing, we’re so grateful! The 9/11 Day of Service is Activate Good’s biggest day of service all year, and it takes a lot of coordination (and sometimes materials), so financial support is so helpful and welcomed!
