The eLOVEate Schools Project

The eLOVEate Schools Project

Most everyone has a memory of a teacher, parent, school leader, class, or school activity that positively impacted their lives. Schools hold a special place in our local communities.

Activate Good believes we all have a responsibility to elevate schools in our local community.

We invite individuals, businesses, places of faith, civic groups, and others to participate in our eLOVEate Schools project to bring volunteer support and community resources to Schools and PTAs serving under-resourced communities. Learn more about how this project works below.

How eLOVEate Schools works

Activate Good is partnering with up to 6 Wake County schools each year in 2022, 2023, and 2024 (~17 schools over 3 years) to strengthen community support systems for Schools and PTAs. Schools are identified and recommended for partnership by school and school board leadership.

After partnerships are confirmed, Activate Good partners with schools for a full year to identify volunteer needs and mobilize volunteer support and resources around those needs. After the year is complete, schools remain Activate Good community partners to continue amplifying their volunteer needs through our volunteer platform.

Why This Matters

Between COVID-19 learning loss, staff shortages, and other challenges, schools need support from the communities they serve to thrive – and ensure their students do, too. Individuals, local businesses, and other groups can elevate schools through their volunteer time, talents, and financial and in-kind resources.

How Can My School Participate?

We’re seeking schools to join the 2023-2024 cohort! Please have an authorized school representative (ex. principal, school social worker, PTA president) fill out THIS FORM by March 31st, 2023.

We ALWAYS support schools outside this initiative, too! Any school in the Triangle may complete a Community Partner application to join our network and share their needs.
