Solidarity Through Service
Our local awareness campaign in honor of International Human Solidarity Day.
In 2005, the UN General Assembly, proclaimed 20 of December as International Human Solidarity to promote the culture of solidarity and the spirit of sharing.
Solidarity Through Service is a month-long awareness campaign designed to bring people together across faiths and cultures through service in recognition of this day. The campaign takes place during the typical winter holiday season celebrated by multiple groups in the local community. Activate Good believes that acts of service are a vehicle for increasing empathy and understanding for people across differences. When we serve together, we are all helpers, united in solidarity by purpose – despite any differences in race, nationality, faith, or other factors.
Bringing Art & Connection: National Volunteer Week 2025 Inspires Action Across the Triangle
From April 20-26, during National Volunteer Week, Activate Good brings volunteers together to create vibrant murals at Wake County schools as part of the organization’s eLOVEate Schools Project.

National Volunteer Week is our local call to action as part of Points of Light’s larger nationwide campaign. Since 1974, this annual celebration has recognized the power of volunteers to create meaningful change through service, events, and recognition.
Here in the Triangle, we invite individuals, groups, and companies of all sizes to step up and make a difference through a variety of impactful volunteer projects throughout the week! Every April, thousands of volunteers across the Triangle take action, connect with others, and become part of something bigger.
